Hello~~~ I'm Augustine from Hong Kong. You may have heard of this place - a bustling city with a set of established rules of the game to follow. While busy living up to social expectations, I do have my own dream to travel around the world.

I was bitten by travel bug back in 2011 when I was having my exchange studies in Finland. Enlightened by my fellow travel buddies, I discovered the beauty of travelling - that is, to come, to see, and to meet people with different stories and aspirations.

Despite that, as limited by the East Asian reality, long travel for months is now a luxury to me. And I can only afford what most people regard as short trips at this moment. Nevertheless, I don't want to remain as a sole sightseer and am determined to engaging with people who I met during my trips, for they are the catalyst to a unique experience.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Indeed I have met different people in different places, but I don't have much chance to get to know the locals so far. Couchsurfing is definitely the best way to experience like a local, share my thoughts and stories with locals, and generate inspirations.

(And budget is definitely a consideration as well :p)

Unfortunately I am not ready to accept fellow CSers to my place currently (due to ridiculous property prices in Hong Kong), but I do enjoy going out with fellow travellers and tell you stories about this city.

Football - I am a supporter of Arsenal, but this doesn't mean that I don't speak to Tottenham Hotspur or Manchester United fans :-)

History and culture - I know more and more people are fascinated by Chinese culture nowadays, but it is important to distinguish traditional Chinese culture and contemporary Chinese culture. ;) Be sure to tell me the history and culture of your place too!
