Greetings! I've always loved Couchsurfing, I've been using it since early 2014. I hosted people in Brazil, Germany and Croatia, and I've been hosted by or met members in Russia, Austria, Germany, lots of places. With a heavy heart I had to delete my account last year because someone I never hosted left a review on my profile - two war refugees that I really wish I could help but couldn't because I was on a business trip.

Interestingly, CS allows people to leave references even if you say 'maybe' you can host them. That should teach me to answer either yes or no!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's all about the people. Couchsurfing has an amazing community. My first experiences were in Asia, where I met people I am still in touch with, in Nepal you really meet the most incredible travelers and locals, it's a special country.

Right now, it would be nice to connect to other members of the CS world in Europe. I will always help travelers if I can - for the time being I cannot host in Vienna.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spoke in front of 300 people at a Harvard conference, got mugged by a monkey in Kathmandu, found cash floating around the ocean in Brazil, worked as a volunteer at a film festival in Saint Petersburg, learned traditional Persian dance moves, made a Youtube channel for fun that now has 9m views, worked for a presidential candidate who won, stayed with locals in the US, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Hungary, England...the rest I'm saving for my book.
