ABOUT ME

Just graduated. It was a fantastic time. Now I'm traveling through Europe just to see the neighbouring countries. I'm intending on reaching one shore with surf-worthy-waves somewhere so I can stay there for a while. In the quest I'm not alone. I travel together with my girlfriend.
In the past I've been in Nepal twice. For work/volunteering. First time I was a teacher in a 'teach the teacher' project. Second time I were coördinating the practical periods of eleven other students. In my stay here I've slept in the himalayas, in small rooms with only the rats keeping me company.

So don't worry, I won't be startled by a mess, a cheeky cat, a visious spider or a herrassing gang of 'Hell's Grannies'

PHILOSOPHY

Don't take yourself to serious, but do take yourself for real.
I'll try to have a laugh most of the days, but not at all cost. I like to work hard, and relax as well. The two can be combined

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live in Berlin nowadays. I have an apartment with two rooms, probably could fit in one or two couchsurfers, more if you bring your own sleeping stuff.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None so far. Having said:
- I know how to surf
- I once saw a picture of a couch
- I've done hitch hiking plenty 'o times
So with these three qualities aligned, I think I'll survive

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Travels, Hitchhiking, Surfing, depressed rich people, Happy poor people... you probably get the idea.

I remember sitting on a roof in Nepal, Pokhara. it was 5 in the morning and I couldn't sleep all night so I got out. It was the last morning there and I finished my work supervising the 11 students.
I remember thinking: 'Whatever I do in the future, whereever I'll be. I must never forget that I was here and that I did this. No one can take this experience away. I'm proud and happy.'

Lehren, lernen, teilen

- Play guitar, sure, I can teach you.

- Speak Nepali? Hey, I do. Does anybody need it?

- I'm a teacher, I can teach any kid. And elder ones. I do need a source of information though.

- I can surf... a bit. Not noteworthy much. Nonetheless, I'll help you stand for the first time

- Cooking: I known how to make an omelet... :) And some more. In regions of the world... no, country... no, city....... ehh. In my street I'm known to be quite a bit of a kitchen man.

- Somehow somewhere I picked up a bit about computers. I can help you with you slow peice of art!

- I can talk like a pirate... there's a study in this. With 19 september comming up (talk like a pirate day) you need me more than ever! "Yo ho ho and a bottle of RUM!"

- I'd like to learn -anything-. What one has to share. What he/she is good in. Languages, Musical instruments, Cooking, Circusacts-balloonshapes-origami-yeah stop. You get the picture.
