ABOUT ME

Born in Ukraine I moved to the U.S. when I was 8 and have lived here since. 21 years old, recently graduated from UCSC in California...I'm celebrating my long-awaited freedom from the establishment by taking a massive hitch-hiking trip through Europe between April and July. This spring/summer, I might be looking for people to hang with and couches to surf. I'm pretty mellow and laid-back, play guitar and sing, write poetry, ride bicycles, and have a daily meditation practice (Vipassana as taught by S.N. Goenka, for those of you who are curious)That's pretty much all I can think of right now,

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I got to surf a bunch of couches a number of years back and loved it, and I look forward to doing so again soon - as well as hosting people when they come through my small part of the world :D

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have had so many wonderful experiences all across Europe and in the United States. CouchSurfing rocks - awesome people, awesome adventures :D

Intereses

Poetry, art, music, poking dead things with sticks (just kidding). I write songs, and play guitar, and also sing Russian and Ukrainian Folk songs. I am a very spiritual person. Ultimately, just a california girl, though I recently became a MAMA! Adventure and enlightenment are my two prime interests, other than my baby daughter of course :)

Music and books definitely, movies not so much (not very plugged in, in general).
Power Of Now, A New Earth, Conscious Loving, Living Beautifully with Uncertainty and Change, When You're Falling Dive - spiritual literature.
Also a lot of classics: War and Peace, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, Grapes of Wrath.
Also poets such as Mary Oliver, Rumi, Hafiz.
Also love to read science fiction.
Music: All sorts! I also sing and play a little guitar :)

1)Can provide guidelines in Anapana meditation.
2)Can teach Russian folk songs (and the language in general, as it is my birth tongue)
3)Can cook traditional Russian food such as Borscht.
