About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Jumping over oceans in search for overly ambitious waves of inspiration (in the lightest way)
ABOUT ME
I am currently working a design internship in Reykjavik, Iceland (this town is nuts in the summer). I like people. I don't think it matter where we have been born, or have lived.... i love communicating and learning about everyone/anyone. Being willing to be put out in a new culture just adds that much more to an amazing experience. I like to be run-over by culture shock, beautiful culture shock - because I love learning how to pick myself up again, and apply what I have learned to my life. People are amazing.
PHILOSOPHY
because i'm alive - and that's all that really matters. Because when I am happy.... i am happy and when others are, you can see them glow.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just started - and honestly am not familiar with how well it works.. BUT AFTER MY FIRST EXPERIENCE IN ANTWERP I AM EXTREMELY IMPRESSED WITH COUTCHSURFING. IT WAS SUCH A GREAT EXPERIENCE. I have heard from friends that it is great- am I am excited to start.
From my first experience - I have learned alllll the ins and outs from a nomadic ambassador, along with all the events and groups involved in CS. I can't wait to become more of the community during my travel and after I settle (just bit).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I just formally started CS online
first experience just completed in ANTWERPEN, BELGIUM. :)
and next - in Praha
- but have been "I participate in my own couch surfing where-ever I live - new york, Cincinnati, Italy, and here in Iceland. I am always hosting visitors... visitors are never a nuisance, not even when I had 12 visitors in my 1-bedroom New York apartment!!!!!!
I actually have 3 surfers I am hosting in Iceland!
Interests
Walking walking walking, Design, meeting people, traveling (of course), writing (I have some books I'd actually like to start writing - and I love writing short stories and essays), reading, philosophy (of living - learning about how people "live"), MUSIC, dancing.... small rooms (my favorite apartment was when I lived in a closet with a bunk-bed) - with that - I like tents, chairs, water (to drink and to be in) green (as in trees and such), i do not mind the smell of sulfur (I credit that to living in Iceland), hmmmm.... I don't really watch TV.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm picky about movies... I like stuff like Life Aquatic, I Love Huckabees, Twister, (I like Movie trailers more than movies actually), The Hours, some serious-some fun, just good.
Music.... well music is really important- currently Simon and Gar (seem to be an Icelandic theme at the time), Sufjan Stevens, Animal Collective, Anorak... etc.
Books - Dave Edgers, Magical Realsim, Froebel, I'll think of more later.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I saw a Glacier last week in Iceland. A real-live glacier. That's something I've really only heard about - and mostly in the past. There are only few places they still occupy - and I saw one.
Teach, Learn, Share
Money = assistance, it does not = living.
i have none - if you don't have money - it does not mean you can't see and learn about the world...
for this generation - travel is not a luxury. I really believe everyone should leave their country at least once. (If everyone in my country did that - left and came back- i think a lot of the problems could be fixed just due to awareness).
i need to learn - how to actually start making the money to pay back my student loans.... i am on my way... but am afraid i will end up un-happy in what i am doing. (actually - i have made the decision that i will not be un-happy in my professions... so i guess i just need assistance in how to "make a living" next year).
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, France, Italy
Countries I’ve Lived In
