About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Love, learn, experience, share, grow and change!
ABOUT ME
I am a 37 year old woman with a deep and passionate love for her family and friends!
My greatest love in life is caring for people.
I am always excited to meet new people and hear all about their lives.
I am also very open minded and mouthed!
In my brief travels I have found the place I want to call home next. Within the year I intend to relocate to northern Portugal. Come time for that move it might need to tap into this community while I get settled. Once settled I look forward to offer space to other surfers again.
PHILOSOPHY
I do all I can to live a healthy and happy life. I work very hard finding ways to minimize my impact on the earth. I feel a life without love is a life lacking success.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just getting started. I hadn't really traveled as an independent adult till Christmas 2016 when this whole thing started as I travel to New Orleans.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have not done much world travelling but I spent much time living in my old van and movin' couch to couch within Ontario! Once I was settled in a home of my own I opened my doors to all who needed a bed, couch, floor, or meal. I have always had friends and friends of friends around sharing whatever space I had to offer. I greatly enjoy sharing my life and home with others and hope to do so again in the future.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent 7 years working with folks experiencing houselessness and substance dependency. I entered the field with no formal education and continued to build a name for myself within my community. The relationships I built are the things I pride myself most on.
Teach, Learn, Share
LOVE and RESPECT is a MUST!! We need to love and respect ourselves, eachother, all living and non-living things, and most of all the earth!
Harm reduction is a way of life we all practice in one way or another and should continue to practice on a greater scale as a society.
Housing first theory has been proven successful.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Strong work ethic, a willingness to help in anyway possible be it house work, meal prep, pet care, minor maintenance, caretaking, kindness, counsel, emotional support, etc.
Pretty much just ask and if I personally can't I will learn how it find someone who can.
