Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard about it a while ago, and I've been interested in deeply learning about the world, so I joined.

Interests

Yoga, deep conversation, languages, nature, traveling (even though I haven't done too much traveling outside of the United States), various kinds of music, karaoke, onsen, photography, different art forms, cooking, world cuisine

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Whatever suits me. Usually, instrumental music, techno, music I can sing to, folk, metal, rock, reggae, dance music, music with foreign lyrics that I can't understand, etc.

Movies: Same. Usually, I like comedy, action, sci-fi, fantasy, sometimes horror, etc.

Books: Same. I really haven't read too many books recently... the last book I was reading was a furigana dictionary. I was happy to find one without romaji.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not being afraid to do what I want in life, I guess. Not sure how "amazing" that is, but, I guess it's something significant.

Teach, Learn, Share

I really want to improve my Japanese. Gradually, little by little, I can understand more and more, but I'm still not at a conversational level and I really want to be, and I've been studying off and on for a while now.

I'm more than happy to help you with English

But, most of all, life experiences are the most important to share, I think.
