About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be my guest! :)

THE ABSTRACT

- A cat lover who does not own a cat.

I love nature, animals and the environment. I enjoy the simple passing of each transient moment.

- Mind stretching and Body pumping.

I spread myself thin, always trying to absorb everything as much as I could like a sponge. I enjoy learning, and teaching in return. As much as I indulge myself in my own personal sphere, I like to spend my time outdoors and engage in any physical activities/ sports alone or with people that I love.

- I am Pisces. I am like water.

I am also very much interested in the spirituality side of things, fate and karma living.

VALUES & BELIEFS

I believe in the good nature of people and the simplest joy of giving.

I like meeting people - people akin or with different perspectives; sharing and exchanging energy.

LIFE PHILOSOPHY

The map is not the territory.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have met some very nice people on CS. Despite of the recent rumours that CS has been denatured, I still find that it is a delightful gateway to connect to the world and people out there. Like most of the people I love travelling to all the exotic places around the world, but I think the reason why I am really here is to meet people who are very different from (and yet the same to) me. I like to see your city in your eyes, listen to your life stories and go through what you are experiencing.

At the same time, I meet travellers in regular meetings and tour-guide surfers around my city at my free time. This helps me to remember my roots and rediscover the 'lost beauty' of my hometown, it keeps me on my ground and have gratitude towards the kind of lifestyle that I live. I also enjoy discovering new or old places of my hometown with fellow surfers. Be it a historical ruin or the new hip restaurant in town, I would like to share and discover with you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed, I hosted, I went to meet ups, and I attended CS events.
I'm getting myself a bit more familiar here I guess :)

Interests

architecture, yoga & meditation, film & movie, photography, social psychology, culture, travel, art & design, fengshui, sports, dance.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books:

Flâneur -I'm always on the move for books.
My book guardians on shelf are: Thich Nhat Hanh, Edward de Bono, Paulo Coelho, Malcolm Gladwell & Haruki Murakami.
My favourite book would be The Alchemist.

Movies:

Too too many, there's no one specific genre. All time favourites would be Woody Allen, Pedro Almodóvar & Wong Kar Wai. I enjoy the visual journey and open my doors to screening films -on average I watch at least one movie per week.

Music:

Depends very much on my mood, high or low. I enjoy both listening to music alone or dance along with the crowd - Jazz fusion, lounge, electronic, hiphop, reggae, indie, anything experimental with a cultural twist.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done recently is running a marathon in a safari park!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you quick, useful and original Cantonese in 5 mins.
Sun salutations and basic prana meditation techniques.
Draw like an architect.
Lots and lots of smiles :)
