my favorite writers are Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Jorge Luis Borges and Haruki Murakami. Also many great dead russians as Vladimir Nabokov, Sergey Dovlatov,Anton Chekov, Nicolay Gogol, Michail Bulgakov, Ilf and Petrov. Arturo Peres-Reverte, Jack Keruak and Milan Kundera are also good for certain mood. From poets will probably choose Sergey Esenin.
My professional interests include comparative politics (Russian and East European in particular) and political theory (Carl Schmitt and Frankfurt school guys)
I listen to many different music from Depeche Mode to Megadeth, from John Coltrane to Igor Stravinsky, from DDT (russian rock band) to Shuli Rand (great israely singer)
My favorite movie directors are Tarantino and Cohen brothers
I also have vast interest in Soviet culture (movies, music,animatia ets)

can play and teach bass guitar (mostly rock tunes but also some jazz moves)
i love political philosophy so i'd love long conversations through the night about alienation, political theology, discourse theory and many other meaningless things (:
would love to learn different languages and become a better go player
