Overview
About Me
I'm a laid back guy with an open mind and curiosity about the world. Always searching for the next learning experience.
Passionate about science and what technology enables for our future.
In my free time, I enjoy playing music (mostly guitar/singing), and I am quite adventurous in my sport practice (addicted to kitesurfing for the last few years). I have a private pilot license and would love to take you for a flight if you come by California.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For the process of discovering and getting to know new people. I like to experience places through the eyes of locals, to help me put things in perspective and give more color to the traveling experience.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like many music genres but alternative folk-rock resonates the most with me. Example of my favorite bands: Ben Harper, The Avett Brothers, Glen Hansard, The Cat Empire, Norah Jones, Otis Redding, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley...
Lots of classical music is also great to replenish the soul !
I read a lot of history, science, biographies... and lots of thought provoking podcasts (my 2 favorites: WTF with Marc Maron, Tim Ferriss)
A recent read that blew me away: Sapiens (by Yuval Noah Harari)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skydive on my own from 35,000 feet altitude (with oxygen mask)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I've lived in 3 vastly different areas of the world: a childhood in a tropical island in the middle of the Pacific, my early twenties in France, and the last 12 years living in California. For each of those, I have a bounty of experiences and reflections that I'm happy to share.
