I'm Auriane, an optimistic frenchie, very talkative and full of energy -especially when it comes to make people laugh !
I'm an artist working in 2D animation movies, and also a nature lover who enjoys all kind of outdoor sports : skiing, hiking, swimming, roller skating, horse riding... Being outside just makes me feel very much alive !
I love traveling, speaking different languages, meeting new people and finding out about their culture, and discovering new places -especially those with spectacular and preserved nature aroud.
I can sometimes be quite adventurous ; like when I ended up studying in Denmark for 3 years even though I knew nothing about the country, and then jumped from Denmark to living in Spain for a little while.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Getting to know a country through the people who actually live in it seems like such a better, more genuine way of experiencing places and cultures we visit :) I want to feel that connection with people, not just see a place but immerse myself in it and experience life from the local's perspective for a bit.

Music is such an important part of my life, I couldn't live without it !
I grew up with celtic music, then fell in love with japanese music as a teen ; and now listen to a wide range of stuff going from math rock, electro, jazz, rock, folk, pop and metal to ambient, epic, world, movie soundtracks... I'm always eager to make new discoveries so please share your favs with me !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm thinking of 3 pretty awesome moments :

Getting surrounded by a thousand fish while I was swimming in the sea. As I looked below the water, sunrays were piercing the surface, and all those fish were slowly swimming with me. Magical !

Also loved a five days trip in the french moutains on horseback ; I will always remember our horses racing wildly when we reached the plateau towards the end of our journey.

And lastly, visiting the inside of the Sagrada Familia left me speechless. I've never been so in awe of beauty than that afternoon, bathing in the serene light that fell through those giant windows.

I could teach you the basics of roller skating : one of the best ways I found to exercise and have fun at the same time !
