Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Taking it one moment at a time, trying to see the forest (despite all the trees), and never forgetting to breathe!
ABOUT ME
Big heart, sometimes feisty, loves music, workaholic.
PHILOSOPHY
"We see things as we are"--Anais Nin. I constantly weigh things, and remind myself that those who are too resolute in their opinions can risk missing out on experiencing the riches of life.

Music, Movies, and Books
Classic, rock, jazz, goth, indie, world.
Le Petit Prins, Hannibal, most books by Neil Gaiman/Milan Kundera/Salman Rushdie/ PD James/ Ruth Rendell, and H.P. Lovecraft.
Movies? Give me thought-provoking, intense, stormy, emotionally messy, and then give me intelligent, dry, wit. My guilty pleasures are movies from the Merchant-Ivory genre, and anything with Sir Anthony Hopkins.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't think I've done anything spectacular. On a personal level, I would say hearing "Fratres" by Arvo Part for the first time. I have no words for that experience, except that music is one of the most powerful experiences in this life.
If we're speaking about physical activities, then whitewater rafting and overnight hiking in Ubud, Bali. Cliff jumping and snorkelling in Koh Tao, Thailand. Scuba diving and whale watching off the coast of Zamami island, Okinawa. Seeing Marilyn Manson perform twice in one year (in Tokyo and Austria). And aerial cable trails in Sabie, Mpumalanga, South Africa.
Teach, Learn, Share
My home country, South Africa. I can tell you about our different histories, our shared pains and triumphs, I can show you how to cook our local foods, which wines are good, the best places to explore. And if you want me to talk politics, we can share about each other's leaders and crises, and do this over a good glass of wine.
