I'm a happy, talkative, cook/raft guide/climber who loves to giggle and relate to people.... and travel, obviously. : ) // Soy una contenta, un poco extravertida, humana activa a quien le encanta reírse e identificarse con otros... y viajar, claro. : )

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Haha, I feel like this is pretty self-explanatory. I like meeting new people, seeing sides of places I probably would not otherwise, and traveling cheaply. Am I right, eh? Isn't that why we're all on here? // Bueno, me parece que todos estamos aquí para la misma razón. Me encanta conocer a otra gente y experimentar la vida auténtica de un sitio. Preferiría pasar una noche charlando en casa, tomando vino, y comiendo la cena que preparamos que ir a un restauran con viajeros de mi hostel. // Para esta visita a España, específicamente, quiero redescubrir la cultura del país. Hice un Erasmus in Zaragoza hace más que una década, y no he regresado desde entonces. Esa experiencia me fomentó mis pasiones e intereses que aún constan de una gran parte de mi identidad. Me gustaría volver al contexto en que desarrollé mí misma y conocerlo con nuevos ojos.

Interests

I love to bicycle, rock climb, kayak/conoe/raft, play volley ball, surf, crochet, read, speak Spanish, and talk about languages. I am overwhelmingly fascinated by the small details of other peoples' lives that are vastly different from mine. But, if you're not into talking about it, I'm certainly not into making you.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I rafted down the Grand Canyon in Arizona for 18 days! I saw desert mountain goats, springs gushing out of rock faces, and 30' waves in the middle of 1000' tall canyon walls. INCREDIBLE. // Yo guié una balsa por el Gran Cañon durante 18 días. Vi cabras de las montañas, fuentes naturales que escapaban por grietas en los precipicios, y olas que medían diez metros. Fue increíble.

I went on a 1400 mile bike tour with my brother through southwestern and central United States. We bicycled over the continental divide, zoomed past migrating tarantulas, slept on the side of the road, belly-flopped into ponds in the middle-of-nowhere-Texas, ate more milkshakes than humanly possible, and laughed ourselves to sleep under the stars. Pretty RAD. // Hice un tour de 1400 millas en bici con mi hermano. Viajábamos por el sur de los EEUU pasando por la división continental, nadando en estanques ocultados por las colinas interminables de Texas, consumiendo más batidos que podría ser saludable, y durmiendo al aire libre bajo un cielo desbordando con estrellas. También, increíble.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I love to cook and bake. I love to camp, hike, and climb. I like to teach languages, and I like to share ideas. If you are interested in learning about any of those things, I would so love to share. I am interested in learning anything you're passionate about sharing. // Bueno, me encanta cocinar y hornear. Me gusta acampar, hacer el senderismo, y escalar. Enseño lenguas, y me gusta compartir ideas. Si le interesa aprender más de eso, encantaría compartirlo.
