I'm Aurora and my girlfriend is Kat. We are two ladies who are currently travelling the world. We are a couple and have been together for over 5 years. We were living in Brighton, UK but have recently sold our flat and quit our jobs to enjoy life and spend some time exploring new places. I (Aurora, age 26) used to work as a store manager in a surf/outdoor shop in Brighton town centre. Kat (age 32) is a teacher specialising in Art and Photography, teaching children from 11-18. She is fairly short so most of her students are actually taller than her.

We like cake.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are on couchsurfing so that we can extend our travels away from the tourist traps and to meet interesting people and get local knowledge. When we get back to the UK and have a house we would like to return the favour. Thats if we ever get a house. We might have to move in with our parents forever.

Interests

Kat: Likes to draw things, make jewellery, read
We both have an interest in fitness, weight lifting, wakeboarding, surfing and cross training and have done the Race for Life for Cancer Research and the Major Series (mud obstacle run). We are both, however, porkers. An interest should not imply skill.

Music, Movies, and Books

I (Aurora) do not like the Expendables. Any of them (I've only seen 1 and that's enough). I get bored easily so stuff has to be really thrilling to get my attention. I like music where people play guitars and look at their shoes. Maybe there is a keyboard too... I quite like that.

Kat likes Wes Anderson films and things with Johnny Depp or Jeff Goldblum in them. She likes Haruki Murakami and Jonathan Safran Foer, Abstract Expressionism, Luc Tuymans and contemporary illustration. She is not ashamed to admit that she likes Eastenders.

Teach, Learn, Share

Aurora can teach Thai and how to fold your t-shirts really neatly. Kat can teach A level Art.

We want to learn lots of interesting things and share some new experiences with new people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach some basic Thai and I am surprisingly good at burpees. Kat can do some creative stuff with you or bore you with tales of the significance of different European art movements.
