Sobre mí

EDIT: sorry, I moved to Montpellier, so I'm not accepting guests at the moment but I'll be back as soon as I move to Paris... (hopefully this summer)!

I'm French but I've been living in Chile (Valparaiso), Australia (Sydney), and Cambodia (on an almost inhabited island called Koh Seh).

I'm easy-going, friendly and helpful. I traveled a lot, lived with people from very different backgrounds. I like to take my time and not rush. I'm respectful of the other person's space and I expect the same. I love spending time with the people I host and sharing my culture and city with them.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Meeting other travelers during your travels is inspiring but meeting people who live there is even better. I began to use Couchsurfing when I was travelling through South America with my brother and I kept on meeting people from Couchsurfing when I went to Australia. Now that I came back to France, I'm looking forward to hosting couchsurfers to keep exchanging with people from all over the world.

Intereses

Travels. Nature. Cinema. Environment (I work in sustainable development). Foreign languages (I speak French, English, Spanish, a bit of Italian, Korean, Arabic and Khmer). Photography (I became a bit lazy but from time to time I meet someone who remotivates me) . Politics (I studied politics actually). Trapeze (5 years dancing in the air). Books (I used to be a compulsive reader). History. Getting into fitness, yoga and meditation...

Música, películas y libros

Impossible to sum it up.

As for musics, I love different styles, but lately I've been listening to quite a lot of funk.

As for books, I'll just say I'll always defend the quality of Harry Potter's books with a childish soul.

As for movies, I loved films as different as Hoje Eu Quero Voltar Sozinho, Fargo, The Angels' Share, Where do we go now?, Laputa, In the Mood for Love, Up, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Boyhood, Hunt for the Wilderpeople... (This is definitely random...)

As for series, I've seen so many... I'm currently watching the second season of I'm dying up here (among other series) and I think it's a gold nugget!

Algo increíble que he hecho

Personal: travelling 2 000 kms only hitchhiking!
Professional: organizing a documentary film making in Japan, Lebanon and Europe (with no experience)!

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I am from Lyon (the 2nd biggest French agglomeration, halfway between Paris and Marseille). I love this city which is mixing different styles and I'll love to share it with you. You might know that Lyon used to be the capital in the Roman era and there's still a lot of ruins. The city is also marked by the Renaissance (Vieux Lyon district), by the high buildings were silk was made in the 18th (Croix-Rousse district), and by the urban transformations of the 19th century (Bellecour district). That's why parts of the city are World Heritage sites. Plus, at the end of the "Presqu'île" (the "Almost Island", between the two rivers - Rhône and Saône), there's a brand new district with a really innovating architecture (Confluence district). In addition to all that, Lyon is considered to be the World capital of cinema and the French capital of gastronomy ! To put it in a nutshell, there are lots of great places to admire, rest, drink, eat, go out - this without being as expensive as Paris I'd say! The nec plus ultra is going to Lyon on the 8th of December for "la fête des lumières".

Even if I'm from Lyon, I'm studying in Toulouse so I spend a great part of the year there. I now know it very well and I love it too! This beautiful city (the 4th biggest of France) is called the "pink city" because all the buildings of the center are made of bricks, that's really charming. Plus, it's a really great place to party and to eat south-west culinary specialities.
