ABOUT ME

(Just noticed my login says I'm logging in from Montreal... not sure why, but I am in Ottawa lol)

We're a couple that lives across the river from Ottawa (Gatineau, QC). We both work in the Canadian government, but in our free time we LOVE to travel. So far we've travelled a bit through North and Central America and Europe.

I (Austin) grew up in Calgary and Vancouver, in the western part of Canada so I am blessed to have seen a wide variety of the beauty this country has to offer.

Since I was a kid, my family took in exchange students from all over the world which kindled my desire to travel. We had students from Hong Kong, Japan, France, Austria, Germany, Togo, Brasil and Argentina. These experiences truly enriched my life and have helped me to see the world through different views. I even had the chance to visit one of the students in Sao Paulo, Brasil when I was in Grade Eleven - this was actually my first trip away from home and my parents...

I love to eat. I love photography. I love the outdoors. I love the history that is found in every city.

We hosted Arnaud from France on Canada Day 2-11 and it was so much fun!

We also tried unsuccessfully to surf in Rome in 2011 :(

Teach, Learn, Share

I love cooking and can definitely teach that! I'm very comfortable in the kitchen and love trying new things.

We both want to learn new languages. Sherwin is working on his Italian and I'm trying to improve my French :)
