About Me

My first memory ever is when I as a little girl walked along a grassy path trying to see through thick morning mist in a beautiful Lithuanian village.

Travelling somewhat brings me back to childhood. Learning over again to taste, smell, see, touch, understand, experience just like for the first time.

Visiting different places and exploring cultures on the planet Earth makes me wonder. Not only places and cultures fascinate me - people, their beliefs, drives, voices, movement, ambitions, lifestyles and ways they approach the world and life is another intriguing mystery of life.

While being an adult interested in education, brains, people, philosophy, children, human evolution, society and science and human rights, I am still a little girl wondering where the tiny path is heading to.

For couchsurfing, I love meeting world's people. It is truly amazing how many wonderful people you can meet in your life when you travel. Some of them are a little bit too good, some of them are a little bit too different from you, some of them are a little bit too absent-minded, and they all are sooooooooo coooooool!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a wonderful human invention connecting travelers and culture enthusiasts. It provides you with a possibility to share and learn, to make someone's travels possible, to learn about countries from the locals, to be a member of an amazing tribe of world explorers!

Couchsurfing and its people surprised me many times. Once, there was a host who offered me and my cousin his two bikes to go and watch the cranes. We fell into several puddles while cycling there and almost got dead laughing, but we got there and it was worth it! Once, my host showed me how his mom with her friends worked together in a traditional bakery making bread and buns and let me give it a try. I can still remember the smell of that tiny bakery... mhmmmmmmm!
