ABOUT ME

Typical Aussie - love beer, the beach and motorcycles. Spent a long time at University doing various things and ended up in 2006 with a broad Social Sciences degree. Except couldn't actually work out what job I should be doing!

So I did the most logical thing and went to Russia and bought a Ural 650cc motorcyle and sidecar from Vldamir, the maddest driver ever... 160km/h average speed through Moscow streets! With my buddy Kirill, I rode through Finland, down through the Baltics, into Kalingrad, over to Germany, across into Amsterdam... lost a couple of weeks in a smoke filled haze... regathered out wits to ride through Belguim, France, Spain and into Portugal to watch the Moto GP. Then around the coast of Spain into France and up to Switzerland where I left Kirill. With the loss of weight I managed to zoom across France into England where I sold the bike for more than I payed for in Russia - 11500km later!

I spent a little bit of time back in Oz before heading back to Europe in 2007 to explore Eastern Europe by plane, train and boat. With three good mates - Brad, Moore and Kirill - managed to see Amsterdam (always time for Amsterdam), Germany, Austria, Poland, Czech, Slovakia, Hungary, Lituania, Lativa, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Italy, Montenegro, Croatia, Bosina, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Switerland, Amsterdam(again!), Ireland, Scotland and England.

I returned to Oz in 2008 to complete a Master Degree and became the caretaker of a botanic gardens. Deciding to have a little time off I travelled through Russia, Kazakhstan and Mongolia on two Ural motorcycles and sidecars with my mates Elliot and Kirill from July to October 2009. At this point the bikes were destroyed after roll overs, rear endings and general wear and tear from the harsh roads conditions in Mongolia.

However I plan to return in 2010 and keep riding through Russia and completing the 'roads of bones'. Until then I am studying, working and riding motorcycles.
