Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've only experienced being the couchsurfer as I'm not currently in a position to offer a couch back :( But hopefully one day I'll be able to repay the favour! And it will be a comfy couch! :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

MOST of my experiences have been extremely positive! The generosity and genuine kindness of strangers helping others and wanting nothing in return is extremely humbling. It's been an awesome way to meet new people, see places through the eyes of a local and make great friends! The only negative experiences have been when a host accepts you, only to ignore you when you arrive - it makes finding a new last minute host really stressful. Or when a host forces their life style upon you or expect a monetary payment or gift in return for hosting - I do not believe this is the spirit of CS. If I want to give you something, I will, and I will choose it for you with gratitude.

Intereses

The ocean!! Diving, snorkelling, kite boarding, wake boarding, surfing (though badly)... I also love the outdoors & nature in general - camping, hiking (nothing too difficult!), wildlife... AND of course, learning new things, especially cultures and the bigger picture of life. I'm big into the environment and trying to live life sustainably.
