About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learning, loving, laughing...making it up as I go.
ABOUT ME
I've been living in a big old farmhouse in the middle of nowhere and working in a community centre for the last 4 years. Amongst many comedic adventures, I grew veggies and battled with the wildlife over eating rights, joined a football team (to the vast amusement of my city girlfriends), developed a taste for rum, camped in all kinds of places (occasionally waking up to, say, a small wallaby in my tent who was also trying to keep out of the rain), and looked up from my porch swing in awe at countless night skies. I love having a house full of visiting friends/family and cooking up Mexican feasts. A few months ago I packed up my life, quit my job and began a-wandering to research hope. It may turn into a Masters somehow.
I'm pretty peaceful, but with fire in my belly.
PHILOSOPHY
Let's kick back with a drink and talk more about it then if you like.
Interests
In no particular order: being active and inspired, the outdoors and the beach, sunset yoga, running, magical realism, laughing, building community, social justice, bad puns, reading, writing, finding amazing old books in strange places, getting my hands dirty in the earth, music, harmony, sharing good food and exploring new places.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like things that are a little different and take you on a journey. Anything that makes me laugh is also good.
I'm in a reggae vibe at the moment, but it could go from that to blues, lounge, roots, surftunes, indie, or world music. Anything that feels right. I don't so much dig, say, Lady GaGa. Who knows though, maybe I could grow to appreciate her in time.
I totally geek out on non-fiction - deep ecology, social change, sustainability, first nation/indigenous cultures, wilderness anything. Gabriel Garcia Marquez, W Somerset Maugham, Barbara Kingsolver, Toni Morrison. A little magic is always good. Pablo Neruda makes my skin tingle.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Amazing times for me usually have something to do with friends and food, music, or being somewhere naturally beautiful. Or better yet, combine all 3.
Learning that logic can get you from A to B but imagination can get you anywhere.
Witnessing and sometimes having the honour of participating in stories of the human spirit.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have a talent for salad making (do not underestimate salad, my friends.) I sometimes share a little yoga. I have a degree in peace studies and some social work/community skills. If you can teach me something, bring it on.
