ABOUT ME

Currently living in Port Hedland! I've done a bit more surfing than I've done hosting so now that I am staying put for a while it is time for me to repay my debt to the couchsurfing community and host host host!! I do work a strange sort of work schedule though, but send me a message and I promise I'll reply and help as best I can!!

PHILOSOPHY

Life's short, make the most of it! Every moment of sadness or anger is a moment of happiness lost! People are generally good, so long as you know how to handle them! I just be myself, stay honest and polite and that seems to keep lady luck on my side!

...as well as all the usual things you'd expect, drinking coffee, grabbing a few beers and watching some sport, playing some golf or tennis or kicking a ball, whatevers on offer I'm really not fussy and enjoy most things because anything can be made into fun!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies- ummmm too many to list! I like independent films a lot because instead of relying on big name actors and stupid expensive effects and stunts to make them good, they have to rely on a good plot and clever techniques... AKA what actually makes a film worth watching!!

Music- Ahhh metal (for the third time!!) Rock also! Similar to my taste in films, I will listen to and usually enjoy anything which is DECENT! Classical has amazing techniques and structure, so I can enjoy it. Some Hip Hop has amazing lyrics, so I enjoy it. However if it is cliché top 40, over produced crap that is just churned out by record companies to train morons into being more moronic... then I may not be so inclined to listen! Haha. Oh, and right now I'm listening to Caravan Palace! Such fun exciting music! :)

Books: Rockstar biographies and books about war are my favourites. I just finished reading Skagboys, the prequel to Trainspotting. So good!! I still have it but need to offload it, so if you get in quick I can give it to you!! haha.

Teach, Learn, Share

So I guess I can teach people about the countries I have visited. I'm a mechanic and English is my first language if that means anything to you? I spent two months in Nepal teaching English in a Buddhist Monastery, so I can teach you about my experiences there. (Far different to the pictures of prayer and meditation I'm sure you are imagining...)

Oh and learning Russian language is something that really interests me! I teach myself, but it is nice when I can practice with somebody who will speak SLOWLY for me to paneemayo!!))))))))
