ABOUT ME

I'm a very laidback person who lives a travelling life. Spend a lot of time travelling in personal time as well as for work. Work as a Hiking / tour guide in central australia (at the moment, also many other places around Oz). Enjoy giving the work hard / play hard philosophy a good nudge. Bit of a nomad really, still live in my van permanently when in Oz, easiest way to save money for next trip. Love the outdoors, always looking for the next adventure. This trip i'm hoping to get right into paragliding. Just like to meet and hang out with the locals when I travel, as you would all know it makes the experiences better. One of the best things about travelling is definitely the food. Places i've travelled include: south america, north americas many times, mexico, japan, europe, england, ireland, new zealand several times. not many places i wouldn't like to go to either. also spent a lot of time working in bush / wilderness in various places throughout oz

PHILOSOPHY

i guess my philosophy can be summed up by a tattoo that i have that means 'gone fishing for life'. you only get one crack at it, so make it a good one.

just signed up, although influece and am influenced by the people i meet on a daily basis at my work

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

only new to this site, but have always hosted people for years. working as a tour guide you're always meeting good folk and always happy to help them out. also the oldies place always had a bit of a revolving door when growing up.

兴趣

anything outdoors: camping hiking, 4WD, paragliding, rock climbing, most adventure activities / sports. love my music, gigs are one of my favourite things to do. hopefully going to see a lot of good music over next six months. music tastes include: punk, reggae, dub, ska, hardcore, bluegrass, country / bush punk etc etc. quite varied tastes but dislike anything commercial and not too keen on electronic music either.

as above for tunes. in terms of books, majority non-fictional, curious about how a lot of things work, sciences etc. beat generation books. dislike airport novels. don't watch many movies, and don't watch tv at all. too many things to keep you interested rather than tv
