About Me

I used to do engineering for the Navy. When I got out of the military I made computer chips for Intel in Arizona for a couple years before getting burnt out. After that I moved to San Francisco to use my GI Bill for music schools. I believe that everyday you should look for opportunities to help and love people. Even a small smile or kind word can cause a massive shift and I strive to be a person that makes a positive impact everywhere I go!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm moving to Los Angeles at the end of the month to do music work with a few different people and studios, I'd like to use couch surfer while I find a permanent living situation.

Interests

Playing and writing music, running, hiking, rock climbing, dancing (even though I have no idea what I'm doing), biking, skateboarding, scrabble, super smash brothers, making art, making conversation, and I just started reading again.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lately it's been a lot of folky, singer-songwriter stuff and hip hop music. Current favorites are First Aid Kit and Tycho. As far as movies go my all time favorite is the Road to El Dorado which is a great animated Pixar film. The only movies I don't like are horror movies. For books, I'm currently reading a book a friend wrote about being dumped. One of my favorites is the Testament by John Grisham. It's about a billionaire that leaves his inheritance to a daughter no one knew he had doing missionary work in South America. The book is about the lawyer trying to find her. Super awesome adventure book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I taught an engineering class last summer using a fifteen thousand dollar set of Legos. Seriously, I did. Best summer job ever.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm pretty handy at fixing things. I love learning about everything so whatever you're into I'll find interesting :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Bands you've never heard before, good jokes and stories, a guitar lesson if you want, a recipe or two, and I can play you beautiful, wonderful music.
