About Me

Hello! I'm a musician and computer programmer from Washington DC. I like to eat (a lot). I love animals. I have a cat named Katya. I like to bike around when I can. I like to hear about people's lives.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet people who live in the places I travel to and see what their lives are like. I would rather get a feel for how people live day to day than see whatever big building everybody says you have to go to. I like to play music with whoever I can!

Interests

I'm in a band in DC called Near Northeast. I play bass and sing harmonies, as well as produce, record, and mix our two albums. We've toured the mid-Atlantic, northern California, and are soon to tour the Balkans. Check us out!

I like to do long bike tours with a few friends. In 2015 we rode from DC to Pittsburgh, in 2016 we rode up Skyline Drive in Shenandoah, VA (that was quite a climb...), and in 2017 we rode from Montreal to Quebec.

As a programmer, I'm interested in machine learning and data-driven techniques. I've worked in computer vision and as a web developer. If any of these things are your jam, let's talk about them!
