About Me
Who am I? Where to start... My passions lay around building communities, connecting with nature and learning about culture. In University my major was International Relations with a minor in Anthropology (cultural not primate). I also enjoy discussing philosophy, life, history, science, innovations and much more from topics of quantum physics and ancient myths to Buddhism and psychology. Personally, I find the world inside our minds more interesting and complicated than the physical world we live on, and am fascinated by others perspectives, lifestyles and culture. I am very excited to be using couch surfing for the opportunity to meet locals and experience a little bit of life as they do.
I am currently traveling around the world with my amazing partner Remi, whom I have known since high school. We are both Canadian and born in 1991. She is very creative, the life of a party, and one of the most kind, empathetic people I have ever known. I like to think I get along with people easily and she is even more natural with making new friends than me. Before traveling we often hosted people at our house, and look forward to being an active member of the couch surfing community when we return home. We live a short drive from the Rocky Mountains and I really enjoy acting as a tour guide showing people around my city who don't know it very well.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As one who minored in anthropology, I have a real interest in learning about the culture of others, understanding and experiencing life as others do. This makes couch surfing even more appealing to me than AirBnB, also as it more suits my philosophy of sharing and cooperating over capitalism and competition. Most of all I always look forward to opportunities to make potential friends.
