Overview
About Me
I have a passion for learning new things; I'm studying chemical physics to try to understand a little better the world we live in, and it's fascinating. I also enjoy learning piano! I've been playing since I could walk, and I try to improve a little bit every day.
I love trying new things, and that's why I love to travel. I think that there is no greater feeling than trying something for the first time, and falling in love with it. There are so many activities/sights/conversations/ideas/emotions waiting to be experienced, you just need to go out and find them. "Somewhere something incredible is waiting to be known."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books
I could talk about books for hours, but to name a few of my favourites: "Catch 22" by Joseph Heller, "The Stranger" by Albert Camus, "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, "East of Eden" by John Steinbeck
I enjoy a wide range of music, and if you have suggestions I would like to hear them! Recently I've been listening to lots of: Sufjan Stevens, GY!BE, Bright Eyes, Lime Cordiale, Radiohead, Franz Liszt, Ludovico Einaudi, Fauve, José González, Dresden Dolls, Bon Iver, Ben Howard. But tomorrow I'll probably be listening to something different.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This one time I stuck my hand in liquid nitrogen, made a magnet 20 000 times stronger than the earth, created indoor lightning, and shattered a banana! Luckily not all at once.
Other fascinating things include:
-Sleeping under the stars in the middle of the Sahara desert
-Witnessing the sun rise over the caves of Cappadocia, illuminating a sky full of hot air balloons
-Standing under the Bridge of 33 Arches and hearing the haunting voices of poets, who were breaking the law by singing
-Sipping tea deep in the peaceful bamboo forests of Japan while listening to the rain
-Peering over the edge of a spewing volcano in Nicaragua, trying not to collapse from the fumes and heat
-Staying up all night long in Iceland just to make sure the sun never set
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to get banned from entering Turkmenistan.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If you have a piano (unfortunately mine doesn't fit in my backpack), I would love to serenade you with music!
