Über mich
What's up surfers,
Austin here. Crazy getting back on here, last time I was browsing couch surfers, I was lost in Graz, Austria with a few hours of sunlight left, spending 50% of my days budget on a tiny espresso (dammit Europe, get normal sized coffees already) ...just to get some wifi and ask strangers to sleep on their couch.
As it happened, a generous travel veteran let me crash, poured me schnapps, and took me to a badass salsa club where we partied until 4am. My point?
I fuggin' love this site and 9 months into my lease, realized I've been Scrooge McDuck with my two couches.
"How do I know this guy isn't weird?"

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
To learn, and to experience.
Stays with local hosts in Central America were some of the most valuable experiences of my lifetime. There really is nothing like it. You can't buy a pass to plug into the community and the people.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
Ran with the Bulls in Pamplona, wild!
Snowboarded 48,000 vertical feet (~14,600m) in four hours at Aspen Highlands
I steal countless luxury vehicles when I lucid dream
Lehren, lernen, teilen
I'm learning Spanish, though slowly, and love the idea of not sounding like a gringo some day in my future. Would love to speak some Spanish if you don't mind it. The Duolingo app has helped tremendously!
I dedicate lots of time to learning about entrepreneurship through books, podcasts, and documentaries. Anything I can get my hands on really. If you run a business or have worked for an inspiring venture, I'd love to hear about it. During this year of travel, I'm trying to become an idea machine and focus my energy on working for myself one day.
Lucid dreaming, I have some tools and tricks that can help you stay lucid and explore your dreams on your terms.
Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann
A wealth of knowledge of Colorado, Rocky Mountain skiing/snowboarding, impeccable sandwich-making, keen listening, how to unwrap a Starburst with your mouth, and dog-walking abilities. An open mind and thirst to get a local perspective on wherever I am. And when I move back to the states (...or maybe Australia) a place to sleep for you!
