About Me
CURRENT MISSION
We (My fiance Nurdan and I) recently finished up a very long overland-travel trip. We drove our camper van from Alaska to Panama and back to Alaska. Now we are contemplating what comes next!
We're currently spending time traveling around SE Asia while we arrange and wait on US immigration paperwork.
Nurdan is from Turkey. She worked for many years as a project manager in a large telecommunications company before setting out to see the world.
I (Austin) am from Texas. I worked as a real estate property manager for many years. Since I was a little kid, I've always wanted to sail around the world. A few years ago I decided to try backpacking and then overland van travel, which I also love.
We've been to quite a few countries so far and cannot wait to see the rest. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet other travelers! My fiance and I actually met thanks to Couch Surfing, while looking for other travelers to arrange a road trip in Canada :)
We will probably be settling down relatively soon and are super excited at the idea of meeting and hosting other travelers when we have a stable home to host.

What I Can Share with Hosts
We love to talk with interesting people! If you're curious about any of the places we've been, over land travel, van life, boat life, sailing, etc., we have lots of practical information we are happy to share.
I also love to discuss the use of credit card points and bank bonuses to travel (sort of US-centric), side hustle businesses and other fun ways of making money.
