I learned about couchsurfing through several friends who had as much fun as a guest while traveling the world as they did hosting. When I travel I prefer hostels and local spots to luxury resorts, due entirely to the incredible people and experiences that come with it. I've had some of the best conversations and adventures with complete strangers in foreign lands, and if I can replicate that energy in some way here at home I'd love to.
