About Me

I'm a young professional guy born and ripened in the San Francisco Bay Area and now living in the suburbs of Portland, Oregon. I work in international human resources/compliance within the financial services sector - great way to learn about life and business around the world!

My MBTI is INTP which sums me up pretty well... rational, fair, accepting, impulsive (terrible planner), curious, and calculated rebel. I love hearing about how people from different backgrounds experience their lives and view the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been so busy "adulting" that I've forgotten to take time to explore the world. Couchsurfing seems like a great way to travel and help others do the same.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a huge fan of electronic music (specifically future bass, trap, & funkhouse), RnB, soul, Motown, reggae, and acoustic.

I'm not ashamed to say my essential movies include all things Harry Potter, Pixar, and Disney.. who didn't love the Lion King, Hercules, Mulan, and Aladin?? Sci-fi and historical/politically charged dramas also get me going.

One of my favorite book series is Enders Game which starts out rather benign but progresses into a philosophical thriller as the series goes on. Lately, I've enjoyed books about productivity, philosophy, and socio-economic welfare. If I had more free time, I'd read more sci-fi!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent an evening talking to a homeless man who I met on the streets of Monterey, California. He shared his story with me, showing how a series of mistake or poor decisions led to him losing his family, but then rediscovering himself.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can make a mean breakfast.
