About Me
Hola Amigos!
I'm new to couch surfing & excited to be apart of the community.
I'm from the bay area of CA ( SF, Oakland, San Jose, Santa Cruz). I recently moved to Portland & its rad!! Before Portland I lived in a artist co op in downtown San Francisco. It was an organized community, shared amongst 40+ artists & musicians. we collectively would curate art shows, concerts, magazine release parties & much more. I lived there on & off for years, until we were forced out due to gentrification in the area.
Positivity is my game. Its natural for me to be happy rather than tense or upset.
When life gives me lemons I am thankful for my new opportunities/ lemon tahini.
I'm visiting Japan this March. It will be my first time outside of the united states. I'm really excited to explore the city. I've always been impressed by Japan's design, media, & lifestyle. If you have any recommendations on places to go, see, eat, please let me know!!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm couch surfing to meet people who are a part of the community they live in. Ideally I want to eat, see, and do the things locals do :)
Interests
I'm passionate about writing/ recording music with friends & alone. I've been in band projects including: Old Arc, Wolf Feet, Atlantic At Pacific & currently Austin Lee Goza which you can find on soundcloud. I like to attend shows & I celebrate the electronic music underground scene (shouts out toRS94109 in San Francisco).
When I'm not writing music I'm probably admiring visual media/ design & taking photos with 35mm film + vintage cameras. I do minimal graphic design and illustrating. I'm studying design to find jobs in the field. I'll have a website up soon with some pictures I can share with you.
I love to cycle! Its my favorite means of exercise! (Jogging is cool too tho)
It's my main source of transportation, even through Portland's winter rain. I did it for work as a bike courier in SF & I do it part time in PDX. After a long ride I love to cook food, cuz dang, COOKING IS COOL! I mostly cook non traditional vegan and vegetarian dishes. Lately I've had a lot of coconut sweet potato, chickpea & quinoa with curry lemon tahini! It makes me hungry thinking about it.
