About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience, learn, and feel connected.

ABOUT ME

A curious and introspective person, I'm also extroverted and enjoy conversation. I have a wide spectrum of interests. I'm a beekeeper, a music enthusiast, a professor, a researcher, and an activist. I was born and raised in a working class community Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, famous for its rolling farmland and Amish communities, but I lived in Philly off and on for most of my adult life, so I consider Philly to be my home base—that's where most of my friends are, and I really love that city. I spent a few years living in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where I earned my Master's in conservation ecology and environmental justice at the University of Michigan. My research focuses on bees in urban settings. Now I'm beginning my doctoral studies in geography at Temple University in Philly. I'm really hoping this all helps me become a tenured professor? We'll see!
