About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learning...the never ending mission.

ABOUT ME

Easy going and flexible are the words which describe me best. I am an adventurous traveler interested in getting to know as much of the world as possible. I have been on many trips focusing on sightseeing and tourist destinations but have also spent a lot of time traveling and immersing myself in the culture of my host country. I am sick of hoping between hostels and bars, I am interested in finding new friends as I travel the world. No matter where I have been locals are always the most interesting and inspirational connections I have made and I hope they will continue to be as my travels take me to new places...I would love to hear your story and share mine.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe we are all cut from the same cloth, which makes us all connected. It is possible to ignore this connection yet contrary to the old saying ignorance is not bliss. Seeing our connection inspires learning as much as we can about our world and ourselves.
Be constructive, be critical, be creative.

Interests

I am a writer who loves to travel. I love to see things I was unaware of everywhere I go and I always try to stay as open to new experiences as I can. I fancy myself an explorer, I love to walk around taking in new cities, hike through the natural beauty our world offers, meet new people all the while having my mind blown and broadening my understanding of what is possible in this world.
I am particularly interested in alternative forms of living. My life revolves around the idea that we can always do something better. While we often get stuck practicing more of the same, I firmly believe if we keep our attention open to the world around us we can learn and perform our lives in different ways taking into account more of the reality of the world around us.
I would say learning makes my life engaging, I do not believe school is always the best place to learn and have found one of the most successful ways is learning from you.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first time in a Hurricane I was staying in a little surf town in southern Nicaragua, and one morning some friends and I woke up with the desire to head to the waves. We grabbed our boards and headed to the beach, when we got there the bay was going wild. Waves crashed ten feet tall, big compared to the three footers we saw the day before, the water was covered in a foamy mess also with garbage floating around it. We surfed for a while...or rather got beaten up by the ocean, and when we finally decided we had enough and headed back to the hostel we had to trek through 3 feet of water in the streets, not to mention the sewage floating by...nothing a good shower couldn't help, and it was raining so hard I just had to find high enough ground and nature became my shower.
