Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm interested in meeting the kind of people who would open up their homes to strangers. I've never personally done it, but I think it's a wonderful thing, and I'd love to hear more about people's experiences doing it! It'd be nice to save a little bit of money while traveling as well, if I'm honest.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've spent time out in the cave homes of eastern Gansu province. There, the beds are made out of earth and brick and are hollowed out so the locals can put coals inside to keep the occupants warm during the cold winter months. Sleeping on one of those giant beds with seven other people during the July heat with the "heat" on was quite the experience! haha :)
