We both grew up in small towns in rural Iowa, and met in college at Iowa State University. While we love the Midwest and our roots are there, seeking adventure and exploring new places is important to us at this stage in life.

Hosted surfers in Champaign, IL. Never surfed (yet).

Interests

We like to stay active and enjoy running. We are both musical; Austin plays guitar and Emily plays piano. We also enjoy intellectual discussions and good food/drink. Austin is trying his hand at homebrewing beer.

We like a wide variety of music and literary genres. There's something good in each.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Emily has climbed a 14er in Colorado and cliff jumped while backpacking in Maine.
Austin has biked across the state of Iowa, completed an Olympic distance triathlon, and run a half marathon.
