ABOUT ME

Hi. I'm 25 this year, currently an undergraduate in St Andrews, Scotland. Spent my formative years in Hong Kong, grew up in Singapore, and now studying in the United Kingdom. I like travelling when i have the time, and I especially like meeting people, more so from other cultures. It's always a unique experience. I would describe myself as a somewhat serious person, until you get to know me! :)

PHILOSOPHY

I like the notion that a person's life is shaped by every encounter that he/she's ever had, meaning that we are the result of our everyday interactions, and that our every interaction is going to have an impact on one another. Life is short, make the most of it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i hosted 2 very lovely girls from the Czech Republic last year in 2013. However i've been busy with school during the year.

i was fortunate enough to be hosted twice (so far); Erle in Copenhagen, and more recently with the Miksa whom i first hosted, in Prague. Hosting-Surfing come full circle!

Interests

Jogging. Jogging is like walking, only faster. Yet one is moving at a pace slow enough to be able to see and appreciate the beauty that surrounds, be it man-made or natural. I also like trekking, although i havent been on nearly enough treks yet.

I engage in boring water based activities for exercise.

I'm also interested in learning another language. (A romance language currently at the top of my list)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Tomorrowland 2013 - to see 180,000 people gather in a secluded corner of Belgium over 3 days for a single genre of music.. and for people of different nationalities, ethnicities and cultures to be drawn together for the love of the same music. peace love unity respect... absolutely amazing!

im a food enthusiast, and whilst my culinary adventures havent been all too successful i have managed to conjure up meals without setting the kitchen on fire... yet. seriously though, i have cooked for every single person who has had the unfortunate pleasure of hosting me and i would like to continue that trend. (the cooking bit). thus you may expect to receive some of my gratitude in the form of edible food, at the very least!
