I live with my fiancé and we are planning our wedding! Other than that my goal is to enjoy as much of life as possible. To smell all of the smells the world has to offer.

ABOUT ME

I love conversation. I am always interested in learning about new things. My friends call me "wiki austin" because I know a lot of very strange facts. I have an excellent memory. I am very fun and outgoing. I get along with just about everyone.

PHILOSOPHY

I think we all have the ability to be good people without needing any incentive or reward. This isn't always easy, but I try to practice this as much as possible. I find that when I take a genuine interest in others it is always returned 10 fold.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I recently met a couch surfer here in Fort Myers. She was really interesting and inspired me to start hosting. I will also travel in the future, but right now hosting is a lot easier.

Interests

I am a professional photographer so my life is very consumed with taking photos. I run my own business, and I love what I do so that takes up most of my time. I'm always working, but it doesn't feel like work. I enjoy having good craft beers with my friends, I love having great wine as well! I have gotten into cooking and I love cooking for others. I also love getting out and being active when I have time. I love live music and fun people!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love film. Amelie is one of my favorites, but there are so many. I can enjoy silly sci fi, romantic comedies or dramas. Anything well done. My music is pretty eclectic. Right now I am listening to The Decemberists, a few weeks ago I saw Radiohead in concert. I love blue grass, pop, latin music. The Black Keys are one of my favorite bands.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled to costa rica and learned to surf on an empty beach with one of my best friends. The first wave that I actually rode was amazing. The fact that there were no people on the beach and no structures to be seen anywhere made it kind of magical. Also watching a volcano erupt in the night out the window of our bunk house was pretty inspiring.

When I went to college I went out to California (from New Hampshire) by myself not knowing anyone out there or having been there before. I ended up dropping out of school to start my company, but I stayed there and made some amazing friends. It really showed me that home is a state of mind. While there I had some amazing times that when I look back leave me awestruck.

I love learning from those who love what they do. People who's professions are also their passions. I love learning about foreign culture. Especially food!
