Okay, I'm an Australian living in Canada, semi-permanently. I've been over here for over two years now. I love Canada and will probably be applying for residence soon.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't go for personal philosophys. It's all been said/done before. I try to experience as much as I can, while I still can. People interest me. There is so much to learn from them.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I did my fair share of couch surfing while I was backpacking around North America. Immensely rewarding experience. I guess I feel it's time I gave something back.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I like meeting new people. I know that for the guest, CS is sometimes driven by economic considerations (hosteling can be so bloody expensive). At the same time, it's important for the host to have a positive experience. As a host, I'm just looking for some good conversations.
