About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To open my third party hostel in Europe. Izmir and Naples are the top candidates at the moment.

I speak FR / ESP / 中文 / English of course (I’m Australian).

Formerly an International lawyer and stock broker specializing in precious metals. Currently I manage a large hotel in Melbourne.

If you like to make money investing, that is my speciality!!! We can talk about financial markets all night.

After owning 2 hostels, one in Lyon and one in Mexico, a French restaurant and a cocktail bar, I’ve had to do something different because of COVID, so I went back to stock broking and became a digital nomad.

I'm a super foodie, especially love French and Mexican food and great red wine.

Artists, architects, chefs, finance peeps, military personnel, and hospitality people all especially welcome to come and have a drink with me.

Hosting:
Priority given to people who have hosted other people.

Chatting with interesting people is 10 times more fun than visiting a church. :)

ABOUT ME

I love to party!

I took my love of traveling and people and opened two party hostels, a fine dining French restaurant and a late night cocktail bar.

I miss the great people of hostels and Couchsurfing.

I love talking about ideas, politics, chess and music!

Having meaningful conversations and meeting interesting people is what it is all about. I Love to cook and go to fancy restaurants and bars. I have been creating and cooking French & Mexican fusion dishes for years.

PHILOSOPHY

Success in life is measured NOT by the obstacles you overcome, but by the duration and intensity of GLORIOUS moments.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Superficial conversations with 18 year olds just don't cut it anymore. Looking for more meaningful interactions.

Ive never had a bad experience from either hosting or staying.

Interests

People who no matter what their perspective, can have a civilised discussion. People with the ability to entertain an idea without accepting it.

I love meeting new people and bouncing off new ideas and exchanging knowledge. Let's trade amazing stories while eating delicious food!

Music, Movies, and Books

Marquis De Sade, 120 days of Sodom is my favourite book. Most of the classics + biographies / history of the great generals from Alexander the Great to General Schwarzkopf.
Four pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett.
Fav movie is Blade Runner. Seen it 100+ times.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

June 2012 travelled 2 weeks in Iran by myself, couch surfing the whole time.

A Summer in Madrid is something every young man should do.

A week on a hostel boat, diving in the Great Barrier Reef was a close second.

Spent a day in a jail in Bolivia,(as a tour) chatting and partying with inmates.
