I was born in Paris, grew up in Vancouver, and have lived in Cape Town, Melbourne, Toronto, and Amsterdam! I just finished my masters program and I have no idea where life will take me next, but I'm ready for my next adventure.

I love traveling and exploring, hiking/being outside, food and drink, meeting new people, and going to museums :) I majored in criminology and did my masters in international criminology which makes for some very interesting discussions...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think that Couchsurfing is a beautiful idea, and I've met some of the most incredible people on this site - human connection is at the root of everything :)

On the other hand, Couchsurfing is also not Tinder. I understand that things can and do happen, but I've had too many instances of men offering to host with the sole intention of trying to have sex above anything else. If this is your intention, please do not offer to host, because I'd rather book a room elsewhere.

Music: I have been a Marina and the Diamonds superfan for the past 9 years. Love her and other female indie pop! Also a big fan of older music: Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Buddy Holly...

Movies: My top 5 are: Gone Girl, Fargo, Ex Machina, Happiness & Across the Universe.

Books: I haven't done much non-fiction reading since entering grad school.. Looking forward to getting back into it now that I have more time!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cliff jumping in Italy, exploring an abandoned refugee ship in Greece, camping in Southern Africa, watching elephants drink at a watering hole in Namibia, spending Christmas in a remote village on the South African coast, snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, being face to face with a sea turtle in Hawaii.. I love life!
