About Me

Americorps alumni, originally from Oregon but lived for a year in Maine after working as a hiking trip leader at a summer camp in Raymond.

Currently I am living in Puerto Rico helping with disaster recovery efforts. I’ve been in PR for six months and may be here for another six months since there is a lot left to do.

I love snorkeling, kayaking, rock climbing, hiking, and am taking the Open Water Scuba Diver Certification right now.

I love art, all animals and critters, and the outdoors, and if you like any of those things we will definitely get along!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a wide variety of music.

I love science and biology books, as well as fiction, adventure, and sci fi. I used to work at a bookstore. The list below is books I have enjoyed or loved, in no particular order.

Ishmael (Daniel Quinn)
The Sight (David Clement-Davies)
Just Life (Neil Abramson)
Euphoria (Lily King)
Just Mercy (Bryan Stevenson)
Ask The Passengers (A.S. King)
Wolf Brother series (Michelle Paver)
Name Of The Wind (Patrick Rothfuss)
The Wise Man's Fear (Patrick Rothfuss)
Raven Stole The Moon (Garth Stein)
A Natural History of Dragons
John Dies At The End (David Wong
This Book Is Full of Spiders (David Wong)
The Foretelling (Alice Hoffman)
The Wild Road (Gabriel King)
Lab Girl (Hope Jahren)
All Audubon or Smithsonian field guides

I love movies but I don't watch them often unless they're on Netflix. My favorite movie of all time is Zootopia, followed by Balto, Spirit, and Lilo and Stitch (I don't JUST watch animated movies but these have had a big impact on me).

I'm a huge fan of Doctor Who, Sense8, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Wynonna Earp, Limitless, any British detective show on netflix, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Avatar: The Legend of Korra, Supergirl, Soul Eater, Fairytale, How To Train Your Dragon.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent ten months volunteering in communities across America through a program called Americorps National Civilian Community Corporation. Got to see a ton of states, help people all across the United States, work with FEMA, and do a lot of character building alongside my team.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love cleaning and can help clean up around the house when I'm not out exploring, I can cook like, five things, and I can show you how to do all sorts of arts and crafts. I'm also great with animals and can help care for anything from frogs to horses to dogs. Besides that, just sharing stories, jokes, and a cheerful friendly attitude!
