About Me

I'm a truth-seeking, fun-loving, ever-amazed individual who seems to be propelled through life by the excitement of planning new adventures and experiencing new things. I really value feeling part of something bigger, whether that's adding what I have to offer to a household for a few days or teaming up on a big project. While traveling I've found myself co-creating in the form of docking crates full of wood at an old-school sawmill in Australia, feeding baby cows, planting nurturing and harvesting a veggie farm, house-keeping at a hostel, and teaming up with other musicians and travelers on busking and dumpster diving missions. As for my personality I am chill yet outgoing, very friendly and smiley yet down to earth and real. I can move swiftly between light fluffy chatting and deep philosophical conversation like it's nothing because I am so interested in deeply understanding. The wisest woman I've ever met told me to question everything, and I've found this outlook allows for endless entertainment. At the same time I am humbled and know there's many questions meant to go unanswered and find comfort in the unknown. My creative passions are music, dance, and performance art in general. I'm no expert but I love music and have been making it for a couple years and only want to increase my knowledge. I love seeing people perform, there's something so vulnerable and special about playing your music to a group and being received. My favorite stages tend to just be campfires... I love this community, every time I read someone's profile I relate to so much of it and really feel a kinship. I've noticed that the love of traveling in this certain way creates a certain kind of person- people who want to share and co-create, people who want to open up and really get to know a person/place, people who bravely continue choosing to venture into the unknown, people who want to test their limits and pre-conceived notions to learn whatever lessons an experience has to offer, people who want to live as much life as they can! I've found the community of people like me. :) Thank you for helping create it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love being part of a community built on helping each other when we can, couch surfing reminds me of subcultures I have been a part of where gift economy is the only form of exchange, like Burning Man or Rainbow Family. I'd love to live in a world where the experience of connectedness is so strong that we can all ask and accept from one another. In my experience, it feels even better to give than to receive. I always find myself saying "The best things are better shared," and there's nothing better than being hosted by someone who loves where they live and delights in sharing that with others. I certainly love my hometown, Eugene Oregon, and have hosted many couchsurfers though not ones I met through this website. I love pointing people in the right direction to give them a local's perspective, which in my opinion is the only way to sight-see. I'm excited to be back at my home base, where I can host people, but before that I need to drive across the country back from the East coast! I've been wanting to do this trip ever since I came back from Australia and realized I've seen more of that country than my own. Me and my homie Ron will be driving from Boston area through Atlanta, New Orleans, Austin, Santa Fe and Taos, going to see the Grand Canyon, and hopefully up Hwy 1 in California- all new to me! We are beyond excited to meet new awesome people and see some of the US's coolest cities and spots from a local's perspective.

Music, Movies, and Books

Raised on classic rock and new wave, found myself singing Jazz and Blues, recently got into Bluegrass and old school country, loves any kind of music with FEELING, favorite movies are Breakfast At Tiffany's and Garden State (I guess I'm a romantic), favorite author is probably Paolo Coehlo I tend to mow through his books, I love how he always has elements of magic in his stories. ✨

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the amazing privilege of seeing the great barrier reef! Tried to scuba dive but chose to snorkel because the mask-clearing part gets me every time and I didn't want to hold back the group- scuba diving is hard core!

Teach, Learn, Share
