Overview
About Me
I am an easy going person. I'm easy to talk to and very open to exploring new experiences in life. No day should ever be exactly like the day before. I am married with two girls, both older. My husband and I met in middle school 18 years ago! We've been together for twelve years and married for over a decade now. I have almost completed my Bachelor's degree in psychology and looking forward to getting a Master's.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I love meeting and interacting with new people. Every person has a story and their own perspective on life and I think that's intriguing and beautiful. And.... I absolutely love to travel!! I have traveled all over the United States with my family, and the memories that we've created while doing this are priceless! I wouldn't trade those memories for anything. So, when I heard about couchsurfing I thought that this would be the perfect way to combine my love of people with my love for traveling. It's a winning combination!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
I like music of all kinds...really. I'd say the only kind of music that I don't like is heavy metal or scream bands.
Movies:
I like movies that make me laugh (example "What About Bob?")or make me think (example "Ghandi" or "Food Inc.")
Books:
I don't enjoy reading fiction books, because I feel like the world we live in is interesting enough all on its own. If I read a book it's because I feel like it is nourishing my soul in some way, or making me better in some way (example "The Master Cleanse."
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have blessed to be able to do so many amazing things in my life it is hard to just pick one. However, I would say that driving on Highway 101 from Seattle, Washington to San Francisco, California, along the Pacific coastline and through the Giant trees of the Redwood forest, with my family would have to be the greatest so far. What a memory :)
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, I'm not ashamed to say that I'm not exactly sure what should go in this section but here it goes anyway....
Teach:
One thing I can teach is something that we all know but usually don't really comprehend until it's too late. Life is short, too short to take any day for granted. Make the most of every moment because we never know when it might be our last.
Learn:
One thing that I have learned is that people will surprise you. Don't ever judge a book by its cover because you could be sadly mistaken.
Share:
I think we should all share our experiences with each other (good and bad), because we may be able to learn from one another.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my life experiences with hosts. I have had a very full life so far, not without struggle and intense pain either. I have been through some terrible things, as many people also have, and I had to learn to get through to the other side. Life is full of challenges that we all must learn to overcome those challenges in our own ways. I can offer the Host the company of someone who is not judgmental and loves to talk and listen. I hope to offer the company of someone they would like to call friend.
