Travel is about the people who live in the places you're traveling to. I would like to meet people in the places I'm visiting who share that mindset.

Truth is, I can be interested in anything for a while - part of being a writer. That includes hiking, cultures both ancient and contemporary, folk dancing (any dancing, really - it's part of what makes us human), baking, brewing beer (though I'd rather just drink it if I'm being honest). And - duh - seeing the world.
