ABOUT ME

I'm currently 25 and traveling has always been a passion of mine along with nature photography making National Geographic a dream job of mine. During highschool I was lucky enough for my mom to let go of me and be able travel to Germany and within the states which included living in the blue ridge mountains every summer.
I love meeting people and hearing of their stories about travel and life in general. Exercising and being involved in athletics are a great joy of mine. I'm in love with the outdoors (hence the major :P) and find ancient artifacts and history fascinating. Experiencing new cultures and languages is what i'd like to continue do opening my eyes to different walks of life.
So basically if I had the money and time I would also get a degree in Photography, Archaeology, Athletic Training, International Studies, and be able to speak at least 5 different languages.

I currently speak English and pretty good German. Since graduating college in I've lived in Manhattan NYC, Sailed from Maine to the Caribbean, lived on St. John and St. Thomas as well as backpacked and couch surfed all across Europe. I just got done traveling through Thailand and India! :)

PHILOSOPHY

I got this metal bracelet from my grandmother a few years ago which I put on and never took off which read "live well, love much and laugh often" which is something I really try to live by. I believe in living in the moment because you only live once. "Nothing last forever but the earth and sky, it slips away, all your money wont another minute buy." So why spend your life working to save up all this money hating what you do when you could do something that may not make that much but you will love your life? I believe in doing what you love because in the end, if you're truly happy, you are truly living.

For anyone who is couch surfing in the Caribbean, that is my current home base. I do work a lot but if you need a place to stay for a couple nights you are more than welcome!

Music, Movies, and Books

I haven' had much time with school and work to really just sit down and read anything other than a text book. I did read Kite Runner in highschool, and though sad, I found to be a great book.

I love comedies, and thrillers. Classic Disney movies and films like Shirley Temple have always been favorites of mine from when I was a kid. Not gonna lie, I'm a huge wimp when it comes to horror, i get to into movies to watch them.

As far as music goes I really like bands like Great Big Sea, Dropkick Murphys, Amos Lee, Dave Matthews Band, Ryan Adams, U2, John Mayer, Lance Allen, and James Taylor. I don't like Rap but do like some of Kanye's stuff :P. I like the older country music and like some hip hop and dub step

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After graduating I sailed trans-atlantic on a schooner from Maine to the Caribbean and fared through a hurricane where I sat at the helm harnessed in as waves crashed down on the boat from above the masts...it was crazy..
