Hey my name is Auxilia, I grew up in Berlin but I moved to Heidelberg for my studies in September 2015.
Befor University I went to Vietnam for a year to work as a volunteer in a blind school for kids in Hanoi. During this time I've been traveling a lot through Southeast Asia, and I really loved it. Especially travelling through indonesia was great, because my mom is indonesian, so I got the opportunity to learn something about my roots.
After all those trips I've realized that I've seen so many things in Asia but never travelled through Europe that much. So my mission for the next years is to discover europe a lot more then befor. According to that I have been traveling through the northern and eastern part of europe, like Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Finland, Hungary, Czech Republic and Croatia. In West Europe I have been travelling to France, Spain and Netherlands.

Right now I am doing an internship in Accra and I am looking for new people to spend time and connect with. And perhaps even to travel with. I would love to meet up for a beer or to cook together or go out for a nice concert or exhibition.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really like to be in touch and to get to know new people while travelling, and during all of my journies I had the great opportunity to meet up with locals and with expats through this plattform. And I think its the best way to get to know the city. Additionally its always great to get some local tips about good bars, nice events, cosy coffees to chill, tasty restaurants...
besides that I really love the idea of couchsurfing, being a community which takes care of each other.

Interests

I really enjoy to play some volleyball and to practice yoga. And I am always happy when I get in touch with people and make new friends. I enjoy cooking or havging some chilled beers or good wine together.
And I am also excited about nice exhibitions.

Music, Movies, and Books

Actually it's difficult to say which music I like the most, because I listen to a lot of diffrent music depending on my mood. But I love HipHop,House,Disco,Funk and Singer-Songwriter stuff. :)
I am totally into movies from Tarantino, Wes Anderson and Alejandro González Iñárritu.
My favorite books are always changing but for now its Siddhartha by Herrmann Hesse and Born a Crime by Travor Noah.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think you get to know the country best from its food. So I really love to cook, if there is enough time during my stay I would enjoy to cook with my hosts and to learn maybe some new delicious receipe.
