Hi! I’m Ava, originally from North Carolina USA. I just graduated university with a degree in psychology, but decided I wanted to travel and experience something different before starting a job. I moved to Madrid at the end of August and started working as an Au Pair with a local family. I love meeting new people and making friends everywhere I go! Traveling alone can be fun but being lonely is not, so I’m a people person!

I’m on here because I want to travel to other cities and counties while I live in Madrid. I feel like this will be a unique way to travel and a good way to meet people since I am traveling alone. I want to go to things like Octoberfest and ester markets, and maybe even st Patrick’s day, all of which will be better if I stay with someone that knows the area!

I love to read! My favorite book is to kill a mockingbird. I love regatón, pop, rap, classical and other music and am trying to get more into techno because it’s very popular in Europe. I also love movies, especially marvel movies.
