ABOUT ME

Im a very easy going person, I like to be spontaneous and meet new people as well as visit new places by myself. I work as an artist and vintage retailer in the wonderful city of Edinburgh!
I also make costumes, I love to dance and perform when I get the time. I attended clown school and danced on stage for Goldie as well as on stage as a mermaid with my Pirate friends "The Seas Of Mirth". In recent years i had a long hiatus from travelling but now i've took back the mantle to explore as much and as far as I can.

I hope to find people with whom to share parts of my journeys with but also I like to take time to explore by myself, sometimes to draw, write or just for quiet contemplation. I’m currently trying to learn photography again so will be likely scouting out locations. I am friendly and love to make new friends but i'm not clingy and im very respectful of hosts and their space.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to travel a lot. I’m happy going solo but I'd like to meet new people wherever I go and really get to know a place properly. I’ll always help out wherever i can :)

I love to hike, visit museums, quirky local places. Anywhere that might make for an interesting photo or video.

Interests

Im interested in a lot of different creative subjects, film and television, art and design, costume making, music etc :) I have skills in photography and modelling, filming and editing. I like to draw and paint, dance and make costumes. I like to try and make the world a little prettier wherever i can, even if its just a smile :) Or making it funnier with my bad singing and love of Karaoke!! x

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music (except electro swing 😢). I used to hate Gabber & hardcore but I’ve been shown the light. It’s house music I’m still not sure about. Recently I'm getting in to some opera and orchestral music but I’ll always go back to Hip Hop and Rock as my favourite.

Really im the kind of person who likes a little bit of everything.
The same goes for films, I like anime, french melodrama, big budget action films. I’m a glutton for horror but I’m trying to not watch it as much as I used to which is hard in this so called “elevated” era of the genre.

I just finished Chainsaw and im hooked! Currently introducing my partner to The Prisoner & The Penguin.
I like Neil Gaiman, Kahlil Gibhran, Alan Watts and Chuck Palknuick. I’m currently reading the Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy after all these years though I'll admit though i read a lot more comics than books, I like the artwork! I like Battle Angel Alita, Akira, Ranma 1/2, Uzumaki as well as Alan Moore and Frank Miller :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Danced on stage with Goldie, Cooked vegan food in a makeshift squat kitchen for the Migrants living in the tent jungles of Calais, scaled the cliff down to San Diego Blacks Beach in my flip flops and bikini and didnt fall off and die @___@, never learned how many “one amazing thing” is.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m studying crafts & wig making at the moment so sculpting and scribbling is the game at the moment. I know a little about filming, photography and editing but I’ve not done it properly for about 10 years now so very rusty. My hope is to pick these skills back up and use them to document my travels.

I can craft costumes, teaching myself to sew. Im a good cook so can teach basic stuff or just cook for people. I occasionally teach a little bit of Ice skating though only basics on how to get started (Im not Jane Torvil!). Im happy to exchange my English for whomever would like to learn it it, im interested in all languages but especially Spanish, Italian and Japanese. if anyone wants a creative partner im happy to join in on spontaneous artistic projects or just lark about a bit ^__^ x

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm an outgoing agreeable person, Im a native english speaker. Im up for fun and adventures, learning and exploring. I can cook, clean, paint, basic DIY, basic sewing but mostly just be good, kind company and a helpful & respectful guest :) x
