ABOUT ME

I am a person with great enthusiasm and spirit and love to meet people from all walks of life. Travel has been and is my passion. I have been very lucky to have travelled to some beautiful parts of the world. I trekked to Macchu Pichu, Peru and raised money for a charity for disabled children. I undertook a Duke of Edinburgh's Award Gold Expedition trekking through the rainforest in Tobago with over 200 young people from UK, America and the Carribean. I have worked as a volunteer in a children's orphanage in Nepal which was the most fantastic and humbling experience. I am an adventurous spirited person and have enjoyed white water rafting down the Grand Canyon in America, Peru, Austria and France. I enjoy being out in nature, love walking in remote areas off the tourist trails, snow shoeing, cross country skiing in Italy. I am a person that loves to learn and cherish new experiences. I enjoy music and photography, keeping a reasonable standard of fitness, yoga and personal development. I have a lovely family and five beautiful grandchildren that make me so happy and keep me young.

I am new to couch surfing and I am looking forward very much to meeting like minded people.

Intereses

My interests are very varied: Photography, personal development, NLP, keeping myself phyically and mentally fit, listening to all types of music depending on my mood and situation. Meeting up with family and friends. I am in the process of helping to set up and forge links with a special needs school in Ghana which is a very exciting project for the future.
