Scarborough is about 25km from what I consider actual Toronto. It's pretty much a suburb but it has character.

I don't expect you to read my profile as I've been a traveler firing off those requests. All I ask is that you tell me what I can expect from you. I.e.:

1. You're traveling through and have plans of your own
2. You have no plans and just want to hang out, get to know city through my eyes, blah blah blah
3. And so on

I'm a student so my schedule varies and I'm busier at certain times than others. So if our expectations meet, I'm more than happy to host!

My philosophy behind travelling is to meet the people that actually live there and experience the city and it's surroundings as they do every single day living there.

After traveling as a surfer, I am really looking forward to hosting. I would love to get to know other travelers while they're in Scarborough and show them around

Intereses

I'm very simple - I *love* to eat, talk, and sleep. If I can be doing more than one of those at the same time, my life is complete.

I feel like everyone today always says that they listen to "everything". Unfortunately, I too am in that category. For me, I listen to a range of different music because it has moments of my life captured in them - like time spent with friends, biking, etc. Right now I'm listening to Tropical House and Rap. Some of the more popular artists in this genre are:

I like to pretend I regularly read but it's not usually the case. I have many unfinished books but I have been known to complete one every now and again.

I watch TV shows way more than movies and anything else for that matter. I tend to get emotionally vested in characters and can't stop long after the show has gone bad. Some of my favourites are:
Mad Men
Parks and Recreation
Scrubs
Mr. Robot

I spent 3 months volunteering in Ghana and I went there as a 17 year old thinking he was saving the world and those locals. I quickly learned that they had more to give me than I could ever return or provide them with. I guess this is an amazing things that has been done to me.

I want to share my experiences and hear about other's cultures. I feel like many people see culture as a barrier and something that needs to be overcome. However, my philosophy is that culture is an opportunity. It's a different perspective that's really a world of it's own and I know that each culture can teach me something new.

An unreasonably positive attitude with conversation for hours. I will be respectful to your space as I am aware you're bringing me into your home. A helping hand while cooking - I love food and although I may not be the best chef, I can promise you that I would cook with love
